It appears the current news model is nearing its end. It no longer seems focused on providing impartial information to help people make better choices. Instead, news outlets have become ideological mercenaries, promoting political viewpoints in such an extreme way that impartiality now feels like a pretense. What we are witnessing is an open information war. As a result, people are tuning out, legacy media is dying, and trust in traditional news sources has eroded.
This raises important questions: Who is the news really protecting? And what new model of information and news will emerge to replace this declining paradigm?
